About P.J. Gallagher's Irish Pub Parramatta

First opened in 1999 as the grandest and most authentic Irish pub ever to open in New South Wales (although we reckon it’s the best pub in Australia, to be sure!). After 5 years, the Gallagher clan decided to open a new bar, restaurant, outdoor and function area.

Combining old with the new, PJ’s has maintained tradition by keeping its authentic Irish pub antiques, but has stayed contemporary through a $5 million dollar refurbishment mid 2004. As a result of the refurbishment, a whole top floor has been designed and dedicated to function rooms. A new eatery, The Bistro, continues the traditional Irish feel... a pizzeria! We’ve pilfered Italy’s best-known export and made it our own!

The Bistro spills out onto the new deck – perfect for a quick lunchtime bite or for more relaxed dining. Upstairs captures the magical atmosphere of Ancient Ireland. Rich wall hangings and paintings adorn the walls amongst shields and swords that nod to the battles that preceded the mighty feasts of old. But don’t worry - you don’t have to battle for your dinner here. 
We have plenty of staff to cater to your every whim from the comfort of your table if you’d like to have a meal.

We Irish take our beer very seriously and have spared no expense on the new bar, our Guinness deserves to be served on only the best! And once it’s served, you can “tell the one about…” while retiring to one of the cosy nooks we have created.
